Free Sudoku Puzzles and Software

SuDoku for Free (page 2).

I knew nothing of Sudoku until October, 2005. My family and I were flying home and the woman across the aisle had a paperback book with "Sudoku" in big letters on the cover. My wife asked me if I knew what Sudoku was, I said "no" and didn't give it a second thought.

A couple of weeks later I came across a magazine article that described how to play Sudoku. It went on to quote a business man in Australia who claimed that he would sell a million dollars worth of Sudoku software that year. As a programmer my first thought (after a million dollars) was that it might be fun to write a Sudoku program of my own.

I did and here it is. The puzzles come in five degrees of difficulty which we've labeled "Easy", "Medium", "Hard", "Mean", and "Evil". If you want your Sudoku "to go" use the print button for a large format puzzle with plenty of room for pencil marks and notes.

There is also a Sudoku Helper. If you're having difficulty with a puzzle and aren't quite ready to "throw in the towel", use the "Help Me" button to fill in one or more blank squares. Sudoku Helper is also available for puzzles from elsewhere.

Through the magic of computer science, we are able to give you part of tomorrow's newspaper, today. To get the solution to today's puzzle use Sudoku Solver.
